Copy belonging to actress Frances Helm, heavily annotated in holograph ink and pencil throughout, with all dialogue and action of Helm's character Melissa Brader underlined, and frequent annotations regarding action, motivation and dialogue. Annotation on leaf preceding title page lists all pages with dialogue or action of Brader character in holograph ink and Helm's name and character's name in holograph pencil. Copy number "26" in holograph ink on top right of front wrapper.
    Fort Laramie, an undermanned garrison, is trying to keep peace with the Sioux when the Civil War breaks out, dividing loyalties down the middle. Chief Red Cloud, head of the Sioux Nation sees an opportunity to split and wipe out the garrison.
    Harry Dean Stanton's film debut.
    Set in Wyoming, shot on location in Utah.
    Orange titled wrappers, noted as REVISED FINAL on the front wrapper. Title page present, dated April 24, 1956, noted as Revised Final Shooting Script, with credits for screenwriter Robert C. Dennis. 105 leaves, with last page of text numbered 94. Mimeograph duplication, rectos only, with blue and pink revision pages throughout, dated variously between April 24, 1956 and 5/4/56.
